Formerly Qualified Vehicle Modifier Program (QVM)
The Ford Pro Upfitter (FPU) Program, formerly known as the Qualified Vehicle Modifier (QVM) Program, is Ford Motor Company’s updated accreditation standard for vehicle up-fitters.
This program strengthens Ford’s partnership with final-stage vehicle manufacturers, with the goal of delivering a seamless, end-to-end experience for customers.
The original QVM Program, later expanded to include police vehicles, set the benchmark for quality within the upfitting industry. To achieve accreditation, facilities were required to undergo comprehensive evaluations by Ford, including assessments of engineering practices, manufacturing processes, quality control systems, and compliance with Ford’s strict guidelines.
